Sharing Community

Sometimes, of course, the point of gathering is fun and laughter!  Resurrection is always ready for good food and good conversation.  Here are our “official” groups that gather for fellowship on a regular basis.

Piecemakers:  The Piecemakers meet every Thursday morning in the parish hall to quilt, knit and enjoy tea with cookies.

20/30s Group:  A new group that just started in late fall, 2009, (and will hopefully decide on a more exciting name soon) is for all those between 20 and 39 years of age.  We had 20 people at our first gathering (a chili and comfort food feast) and we are planning on meeting once per month for fun.  For more information contact Greg Cabeza at338-8896, or the rector, Natasha Garrison at 686-8462.

The Lunch Bunch:  A weekly women’s gathering for lunch at a new restaurant each week.  Locations listed in the weekly announcements.

The Daytime Men’s Group:  Every two weeks on Friday, all men who would like to come gather from 10a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for goodies, good chats and camaraderie at various locations.  Call the church  office for the upcoming date and place.

Newcomers’ Dinner:  Once or twice per year we host a dinner at a parishioner’s home to welcome those who are new to our community.

Community Monthly Potluck:  On the last Wednesday of every month we offer a community potluck at 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Good food always on hand.  Contact Fay Harris or Bobbi Cramer for more details.

And other events as the mood strikes…
