Announcements for the Week of December 23rd
January’s adult class will be a study of the book lies we believe about GOD, by Wm. Paul Young, author of The Shack and Eve. Young invites us into a dialogue to revisit our assumptions about God and encourages us to think through beliefs about God we’ve presumed to be true. Please join us as we explore the “unconditional, relentless, and everlasting love of God.” Class meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Yellow Room; facilitator will be Neal Mandich.
We’re about to move into the new year, which means that it is time to start a new Coffee Hour sign-up sheet! In order to have a smooth start, Annie Heckel is looking for Coffee Hour volunteers for the Sundays in January (1/6, 1/13, and 1/27). If you or a church ministry of which you’re a part could help by bringing food or cleaning up on one of those days, please e-mail Annie or catch her after church to let her know the date you want to help, and whether you can bring food, clean up, or both.
Volunteers are needed to help in the children’s and youths’ program and in the Sunday School classes. To sign up or for more information please talk to Jenny Reesor during coffee hour or email Tina at firstname.lastname@example.org.
December Home Starter Kit Update: We have been busy filling kits! The total since our last report was 30 kits, and we have helped 42 adults and 38 children. We are happy to report that we have received a $1000.00 grant from the Downtown Lions Club; this is the second such grant we have received from them! We thank all of you for your prayers and contributions, and we thank your faithful volunteers. Please join us in the Parish Hall on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. to pack kits!
