Welcome Back!
Public school is back in session, the U of O will be starting soon, summer travels are winding down. It must be time for our back-to-church Rally Day.
Sunday October 5 will be a big day at Resurrection. The choir will be back with us and our worship will be graced with more music and song. As we remember blessed St. Francis, we will enter a Season of Creation, with the creation mass guiding our worship and, on the 5th, with the Blessing of the Animals at both services (all well-behaved critters welcome, regardless of species!). After worship we will enjoy a potluck lunch, during which we will be highlighting the many ministries of Resurrection and how we can each use our time and talents to become more involved in the life and work of the parish.
Rally day will also mark the beginning of our Christian formation season. The 9:15 formation time will continue in some form, and other classes may also be offered, either in person or online. The topics and times remain to be set, so now is the time to offer requests and suggestions. There is room for Bible or book studies, topical classes, spiritual practices, exercise or even support groups for our trying times. Please let me know what you might like to learn or teach.

Formation this week
This week’s 9:15 formation time will be a bit of a free for all. We’ll have time for discussion of any and all questions that you might bring about scripture, theology, the Church, or how to live in the Way. We will also have some time to discuss what ongoing courses we might offer either at 9:15 or at other times. We never lack for good discussion, so bring your questions and suggestions!
