Young(er) Adult Gathering
On Sunday August 30 I invite the young(er) adults of the congregation (I know that in the Church that might mean anyone under retirement age, but I hope you’ll self-sort.) to gather after the service for some conversation. Many of the group are newer to Resurrection, we’ll take some time to meet one another and answer questions about the church. We’ll talk about what, if anything, the group would like to do among themselves, and how Resurrection can best include younger people in the worship, ministry, and leadership of the full congregation.
Interest Groups
Young(er) adults are not the only interest group in the church. If you would like to have a group at Resurrection for your own interest, please let me (Fr. B) know and I’ll help you to gather like-minded people from the congregation. We could have a men’s bible study group, a women’s pickle ball group, or a parent’s support group. Groups could be focused on spiritual practices like centering prayer, lectio divina, or bible study; activities like running, hiking, or gardening; or interests like books, activism, or relationships. We aren’t a huge congregation, so the wider your focus the more likely you’ll find others who share your interest. Groups also needn’t be limited to Resurrection, and if you have friends who share your interest feel free to include them.
