The votes are in and it seems that, with a clear majority, meeting Sundays after the 10:30 service is the best time for the most people. We will begin this Sunday with an introductory discussion of what we hope to learn.
In case you missed it, our topic will be a Christian approach to end of life issues. We’ll talk about how we’ve encountered death in our lives and how we’ve dealt with it, various Christian beliefs about death, resurrection, heaven, and hell; along with practical topics like estate planning, advanced directives, funeral planning, and long term care hopefully with visiting speakers The book we’ll be using is “Can’t we talk about something more pleasant?” by Roz Chast. It is widely available in new, used, and digital forms from a variety of sources. You do not need to have the book for the first meeting, so there is still time to find a copy.
